SASSA Grant Reviews 2026: What a Review Means and What to Prepare
A grant review checks whether the beneficiary still meets the conditions of the grant. Review is not the same as automatic cancellation.

Fourth payment day arrangement
In 2026 SASSA announced that beneficiaries specifically identified for review can be paid on a fourth payment day rather than the normal three-day sequence for the month. After payment, the beneficiary still needs to complete the requested review.
What happens if you ignore a review request
Failure to respond can lead to payment delays and may eventually result in suspension or lapsing under the applicable rules. Keep any review appointment or provide the requested evidence as soon as reasonably possible.
